The new Toyota Aygo is chasing a new level of customization, like the Peugeot 108 and the Citroen C1 that it shares it platform and mechanicals with. Like it? The bold face of the Aygo is shows off the brash new hatch that’s chasing a younger audience that its French counterparts, with an interchangeable ‘X’ face that, side strakes and rear diffuser.
Faurecia has launched its ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' contest, with a brand new 64GB iPad up for grabs. Tier supplier Faurecia is using online sharing community Pinterest to host a new competition to create a pinboard named ‘Faurecia Pin-spiration' – categorized under ‘Cars and Motorcycles' – and filled with things that reflect the meaning of ‘premium’ that could also be used in automotive design. To enter into the contest send an email to FaureciaNA@Faurecia.com with the link to the board along with your name, email address and phone number by 31 July, and Faurecia judges will then choose the winner.

This is the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV, the Japanese car company’s star attraction at this month’s 2009 Tokyo motor show. The concept tag is obvious, but the PX part designates the show car as a plug-in hybrid crossover, and MiEV stands for Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle. Externally the PX-MiEV drops heavy hints towards the styling of the next Outlander, but Mitsubishi has pared back the design and purposely avoided adding the 'rugged'’ elements so common to SUVs.
